Can you mix henna with cold water?
The temperature of the water affects how fast or how long it takes for the henna powder to release its dye before it’s ready to colour your hair. This can vary from 15 to 20 minutes with freshly boiled hot water to 5 or 6 hours with cold water. You can apply the paste hot or cold to wet or dry hair.
Do you wash henna with cold or hot water?
Washing henna from the hair is messy job especially if you don’t know how to do it. Use cold water for rinsing out and just use plain water. Chemical products such as conditioner, shampoo, hair sprays, and hair perfumes should not be used after henna treatment.
